Description
The lagoon on the South side of the West end of Cayman Brac, is Brac Reef Resort and the old dock for off loading cargo. The cut is narrow and drains the lagoon with the Southeasterly winds the majority of the year for calm seas. So with these sea rolling in sometimes larger than would be expected, the swells are huge on the out going flow. This location has landed many schooners and dive boats on the reef that is one foot under the surface. So in illustrating a schooner in drawing, I thought of the many trips going through this cut and what it would have been on a schooner heading out to sell the load of coconuts or thatched ropes.
